As our long-serving Accountant retires, we’re seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our growing business, including trust accounts, settlements, payroll, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll: Process pay runs, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and tax filings.
  • Settlements: Finalize settlement statements and ensure accurate disbursements.
  • Trust Accounts: Ensure compliance, perform reconciliations, and manage audits.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage accounts payable/receivable, BAS, and monthly/annual reports.
  • Compliance & Systems: Update software and improve processes to boost efficiency.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant, ideally in real estate, legal, or property sectors. CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of trust accounting and compliance with legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting software, particularly MYOB, and openness to new technologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.
  • Experience liaising with external accountants for audits and tax optimization.
